Description
Six-board pine blanket chest, made ca 1820-1850, found in Reading, Vermont and picked in the surrounding area. Note the twenty-one inch wide boards that comprise the top and bottom, the dove-tailed case, and the beautiful, first-surface, Robin's egg blue paint, which has nice patina. Also note that the chest is painted on the reverse, which is desirable and unusual, allowing for more attractive use as a coffee table.
