Description
- Proven effective ultraviolet (UV) light technology — kills bacteria without affecting the vital nutrients contained within the milk. Now you can provide a better product to your calves during this important growth stage in their lives. The UV Pure has been extensively tested at the University of Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research.
- Flexible and modular design — The UV Pure processing equipment is housed in a single cabinet and is connected to a milk vat. Vats are available in various sizes depending on the dairy's milk volume requirement. The UV Pure unit is selected based on the desired process time and is available in a 2-turbulator or a 3-turbulator module.
- Ultraviolet lamp monitoring — ensures the system operates for the correct time to assure bacterial kill in waste milk. In the event of a lamp failure, the UV Pure automatically adjusts the process time and alerts the user.
- Heats waste milk to feeding temperature — a hot water circuit allows cold milk to be brought up to feeding temperature. Feeding milk at 98°F to 104°F helps to prevent Clostridia.
- Considerable money and energy savings — typical heat pasteurizers require high capacity electrical service and, they contain large heating elements or require an industrial boiler to generate the heat necessary to achieve required pasteurization temperatures. The UV Pure only requires power to light the UV lamps and operate the circulation pump. The UV Pure requires up to 92%less energy than traditional calf milk pasteurizers, when processing the same amount of waste milk. The environmentally-friendly UV Pure unit offers big energy savings that can turn into significant money savings on your monthly electrical bill.
