The UFB-45 utilizes the RJ45 connector to enable it to use electronic relays to switch all pins between a master connector and either connector "A' or connector "B".
The UFB-45 is completely data rate and protocol transparent which makes it interface compatible with RS232, RS422/449, RS530, RS561, RS574 and RS485 equipment and related applications. (Note: This is ethernet switching capable)
The UFB-45 can function as an automatic or manual A/B switch which provides switching between a primary or secondary interface and a master device by monitoring either a positive or negative going control signal for the purpose of backup, link restoral, disaster recovery, or alternate routing.
PERFORMANCE:
The UFB-45 automatic switch employs a method to automatically switch between a primary and secondary interface device using a user defined control signal, or can be switched manually.
The UFB-45 can be triggered either when a user selectable control signal goes negative or positive and can be configured to latch or track with its transition. The control signal can be selected from any of the three interfaces (Master, Port A, or Port B), or switched via a separate control port under system or network control. Track mode lets the UFB-45 switch automatically with the selected control signal. Latch mode forces the UFB-45 to switch and remain in that state until manually reset.
