All employees are required to complete a course in Sanitation for Food Service Employees. In addition, managers train their employees individually. This is accomplished by showing the employee the correct way to prepare a deli sandwich, mop a floor, or store products. Our employees are not thrown into a position without adequate instruction.
Managers also have team meetings with their employees. These meetings keep employees informed and cover safety, food preperation, menus, and other items that pertain to the client. Referring to the training Program Summary sheet, a manager may hold a meeting about the upcoming specials for a given month.
The faith we have in our training procedures is such that cashiers and service personnel can take direct action on customer concerns or suggestions as long as the manager is notified of the action taken. Employees are taught they have nothing to fear by accommodating a customer, then communicationg with the manager to prevent similar problems in the future.
