Therapeutic Riding

Sweet Meadow Stable offers therapeutic riding to foster independence, strength and growth in the minds and bodies of individuals with special needs through equine assisted activities. The program is beneficial for children and adults with physical, cognitive and/or emotional needs. The therapy enhances children's self-esteem and improves balance, coordination, muscle tone and strength. Shelley has over sixteen years experience with special needs riders of all ranges. Sweet Meadow's Therapeutic program prides itself on focusing gentle groundwork as well as riding. The stable has worked with everyone from personal families, groups to several state programs in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and New York.
