Three, four, five, or six electrohydraulic selective control valves (SCVs) with adjustable flow rates, timed detents, and breakaway couplers are offered on 7R, 8R, and 8RT Series Tractors, depending on the transmission option. The fifth and sixth SCV options are available with 7R CommandQuad™ Plus, 8R PowerShift, and 7R/8R AutoPowr/IVT™ transmissions.
The sixth SCV is always controlled using the auxiliary SCV control pod. For 7R, this pod also contains the controls for one-, two-, or three-function mid-mount hydraulics. If the tractor is equipped with mid-mount hydraulics, the sixth SCV is not available.
The 7R Series Tractors are available with a 50-km/h (31-mph) CommandQuad™ Eco or IVT™ transmission.
Operation of these transmissions is the same as with the 40-km/h (25-mph) transmission versions. However, the faster transport speeds of 50-km/h (31 mph) require specific tractor ordering configurations. These requirements include:
- Triple-Link Suspension II (TLS™ II) with 1300 mechanical front-wheel drive (MFWD) axle and brakes
- Air and/or hydraulic trailer brakes
- Front fenders
- B-speed rated front and rear tires
- Implement considerations
To increase versatility, row-crop duals are now available with 50-km/h (31-mph) transmissions. For complete tire offerings refer to tire options for 7R Series Tractors.
To help boost productivity, there are five shortcut keys located on the 7R and 8R/8RT Series Tractor CommmandARM to access individual hitch settings:
- Hitch transport lock
- Hitch lower limit set
- Load/depth
- Hitch upper height limit set
- Hitch rate of drop
The hitch transport lock shortcut key also activates the hitch dampening system to help prevent the tractor from any pitching or rocking that can occur when transporting hitch-mounted equipment. In addition to the hitch rate-of-drop shortcut key, the hitch rate of raise can be adjusted through the CommandCenter hitch page.
