The peak-cap of the tankman of the USSR of the time was distinctive feature of the Soviet tank officer. By 1969 when entered headdresses of a new sample in troops, peak-caps in many countries of the world were replaced with convenient caps even for the ordering structure. Therefore the Soviet army was known almost well till 1991 when in the new created republics of the Ministry of Defence actively undertook development of new headdresses. The Tankistsky headdress was created according to the classical scheme: a crown of field green color, okolysh – traditional color for tankmen (black). Same were also a podborodochny belt with a peak. The cockarde on this type of a headdress was used small general, and it fastened in front on an okolysha. Among other peak-caps of that time, the headdress of tank troops was allocated only with color scale. In all the rest, it conformed to all-army standards.
