Patagonia is the region at the lower tip of South America, and its magnificent beauty has attracted adventure-seekers for centuries; this two-week trip showcases Patagonia's breathtaking landscape and is ideal for nature-lovers. Begin with a three-night stay in Buenos Aires, where touring highlights include the various historical neighborhoods of the city, a cruise along the Delta, a famous tango show, and a visit into neighboring Uruguay. Next, fly to Bariloche for a three-night stay, where you will begin your touring of Patagonia. Bariloche is known as the Lake District and is full of snow-capped mountains, alpine forests and some of Argentina's most breathtaking scenery. Enjoy a boat ride on the pristine Nahuel Huapi Lake and visit the ancient forests of Victoria Island. From Bariloche, fly to El Calafate for a three-night stay, where you will spend two days touring the glaciers that creep down the sides of mountains and along valleys. From El Calafate, drive overland to El Chaltén for a two-night stay. Spend a full day visiting the picture-perfect Fitz Roy Mountain, a must for anyone who trulywants to really discover Patagonia. Finally, return by road to El Calafate and fly to Puerto Madryn for a three-night stay. Spend the next two days viewing some of nature's most captivating creatures: whales, penguins, dolphins and sea lions.
