Description
DAY 1 - Arrival
Early morning departure. Upon arrival in Boston, you will be welcomed by your
Tour Manager, who will stay with you through out the whole tour. Enjoy a brief overview tour of Boston on your way to the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum.
Included dinner in Boston at Skipjacks. Check into your North of Boston
Hotel - TBD.
DAY 2 - Boston & Lexington
Breakfast is included at your hotel. Depart hotel for Lexington. You will begin in
the historic towns of Lexington and Concord. Stand on the Lexington Green
and learn how the farmers rallied to meet the British and where the first shots were
fired. Continue along Battle Road to Concord where you will stop at the North
Bridge. Returning back through Concord you will hear of the famous authors who
lived there, such as Alcott, Emerson, Hawthorne and Thoreau as you pass by
the homes where they lived. Included lunch back in Boston at The Living Room,
near the waterfront.
DAY 3 - New Hampshire
Breakfast is included at your hotel. You will travel through Southern New Hampshire to Meredith and the Lakes Region. Then visit Castle in the Clouds,
which affords a panoramic view of mountains and lakes, including gigantic Lake Winnipesaukee. Have lunch and shop on your own in Meredith. This afternoon enjoy
a cruise on Squam Lake, made famous by the film, On Golden Pond. The cruise
has the sights and sounds of loons and beautiful scenery. Dinner is included at Mame's Restaurant before returning to you hotel.
DAY 4 - Maine
Breakfast is included at your hotel. Depart for Southern Maine. Enjoy a cruise aboard the Finestkind Lobsterboat at Perkins Cove in Ogunquit. See how
lobster are caught on this unique boating experience. Lunch will be on your own in Ogunquit and a little time to shop at the adorable stores in Perkins Cove. Touring continues with stops in Kennebunkport and the shops in Dock Square. View past President George Bush's summer residence on Walkers Point in Kennebunkport.
DAY 5 - Salem & Departure
Breakfast is included at your hotel. Check out and depart hotel for Salem, MA.
You will receive a brief overview of this historic city made famous by the Witchcraft hysteria of 1692 and the Maritime history of Trade to the Orient. You will visit the Salem Witch Museum for their multi-media presentation. Then the House of the Seven Gables. One of Salem's most famous residents was Nathaniel Hawthorne
who penned the novel The House of the Seven Gables. Lunch will be on your own
at Pickering Wharf before departing for home.
