Description
The Texel®
MTA Series pump is designed with the needs of process
industry requirements in mind. Heavy-duty materials of construction
and proven design make it suitable for use in operations where leakage is not desirable or cannot be tolerated. The MTA pump is available in three space-saving, close-coupled models.
Simplified Maintenance
The MTA pump is engineered for easy assembly and disassembly.
The rotor is light, compact and is supported by a single bearing, thus
reducing parts stocking requirements and maintenance costs. The
MTA's close-coupled configuration eliminates the need for pump-tomotor spacer couplings, coupling guards, baseplates and motor
alignment, while utilizing standard C-face motors.
Minimal Parts/Maximum Interchangeability
For superior reliability and long life, the MTA pump utilizes a limited
number of wetted components. A standard non-rotating Silicon
Carbide shaft supports a fully encapsulated magnet and fully closed
impeller. The single rotating bearing is available in a variety of materials for full process compatibility. Silicon Carbide thrust rings provide zero-wear thrust surfaces, while a PFA rear casing, backed by
an engineered plastic shell, supplies high strength containment without sacrificing corrosion resistance.
PFA Lining
Key to MTA's superiority over other lined pumps is the use and application of its advanced PFA fluoropolymer lining. PFA is renowned for
its exceptional resistance to a wider range of chemicals than are
ETFE, PVDF, or other non-metallic materials.
High Efficiency
A non-metallic containment shell eliminates hysteresis losses associated with alloy containment shells.
