Lithium durable batteries PP161
- Country of manufactureUkraine
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DEVELOPMENT
Approaches to creating a lithium source are developed current (LDS) system Li - FeS2 which combines high specific weight and volume energy characteristics.
Low self - discharge, providing long - term storage (up to 15 years) without loss of energy characteristics and power; efficiency in a wide range of temperatures (up to - 25 °С); low cost; technological opportunity scaling. Weight specific energy after activation by charge developed current source is 340 W h / kg, which is about 30% higher than for a similar current source Li - FeS2 series Energizer's Ultinate lithium in a size of AA (250 W ∙ h / kg) and exceeds by 41% the specific energy of chemical sources of current in dimensions AAA (200 W ∙ h / kg).
MAIN ADVANTAGES OF THE DEVELOPMENT
The developed backup power sources are economically attractive due to the cheap components (FeS2) and competitive energy due to the high specific energy of the electrochemical system and specially designed two - layer hull manufacturing technology of lithium - based anode and cathode modification.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY STATUS
A patent of Ukraine was received.
MARKET DEMAND
Civil engineering, defense and the space industry.
THE DEVELOPMENT READINESS STATUS
There was created an experimental sample of the developed current source. The prepared documentation for the manufacture of an experimental sample of developed current source. In the laboratory of alternative and renewable energy sources Institute of Semiconductors, NAS of Ukraine held independent testing of lithium current sources experimental samples.
