Laptop AC Jack Repair

The most common cause of DC jack failure is tripping over the card or falling while plugged in. The AC adapter will cause the DC jack to become dislodged from the motherboard. The laptop will not be able to operate from AC power or charge the battery at this point. Replacing the DC jack is far less expensive than replacing the motherboard or the laptop.
