- Internal parasites-Both dogs and cats can get internal parasites from flea bites, mosquito bites, wild animals, and feces they encounter while away from home.
- Symptoms include: diarrhea, perhaps with blood; weight loss; dry hair; worms in stool; lethargic behavior; coughing and vomiting. In some cases dogs or cats with worms may display few or no symptoms.
