HS1218A Corduroys & Moleskin Cloth

Holland & Sherry corduroy cloths are constructed from the finest cottons including Pima cotton, which is of exceptional quality due to its longer staple fibre. The cloths are given a cut-pile weave to create the softest, strongest and most luxurious cord collection in the world. The distinctive cord construction is achieved by weaving the yarns parallel to one another, creating a unique rib effect. This durable cloth is considered most appropriate for casual or casual business attire.

To produce corduroy cloth, fibres are twisted in a special way to create its distinct 'cord' pattern, which can then be woven as a fine 'needlecord' or heavier 'jumbo'.
The collection features several different qualities in varying weights:

- 16 & 13 wale needlecord, 280/360grm 9/11½oz
- 11 wale mid-weight cord, 430grm 14oz
- 7 and 8 wale jumbo cord, 500/700grm 16/22½oz

The collection also includes a wide range of Moleskin; a heavy cotton fabric that is woven and then sheared to create a short, soft pile on one side. Moleskin clothing is noted for its softness and durability. Our high quality 100% cotton moleskin collection features autumnal chestnut and classic lovat alongside a range of classic neutrals.
