Guided Wave Ultrasonics

The GUL Wavemaker is an ultrasonic unit which clamps onto the surface of an exposed pipe and sends a torsional and longitudinal wave down the pipeline to screen areas of the pipeline. It will identify locations where a minimum of 10% of a pipe surface has eroded or corroded away. It is an excellent tool for inspecting corrosion of pipe surfaces at pipe supports, underneath insulation, soil to air interfaces, underground piping, road crossings, underwater piping and much more.

It can locate welds that are covered by insulation or other coatings. Additionally, it has the ability of inspecting pipelines from 2" to 42" in diameter.
