Flies Extermination

Flies are largely a sanitation issue - many species of flies are attracted to decaying organic matter and filth such as rotting meat and excrement, while others prefer sugary substances, feeding on over-ripe fruit and soft drinks. Species like the Drain fly seek moist areas with organic food sources where they can lay their eggs. Gnat is the common name for many small, winged members of the fly family. Male gnats assemble into large mating swarms, known as "ghosts," commonly seen at dusk in large fields and above streets. In optimal conditions, just one pair of flies can produce more than 1 million offspring in as little as two months. They easily spread disease due to their affinity for both rotting, disease-ridden food sources and human utensils and food - pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus are associated with the house fly. Accurate identification is the essential first step to controlling your fly problem.

Moths are fairly easy to differentiate from butterflies - moths are stout, appear furry and are typically muted earth tones like brown, grey and white, while butterflies are slender, have smooth abdomens and are often brightly colored. Also, while at rest, moths hold their wings flat; butterflies fold their wings above their bodies. However, it is significantly more difficult to indentify one species of moth from another, seeing as most species are similar in color and size.
