Purpose and scope
The development is aimed at providing fire resistance of wooden building structures under the influence of flammable substances (liquid and metallized). Potential users of fire retardant coatings are objects of storage of weapons and ammunition, construction organizations, subdivisions of the State Emergency and Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The essence of the development
The developed flame - retardant covering is capable of transferring wood to heavy - duty materials that don`t spread the flame, with low disposability and toxicity. The most important indicator is the inhibition of destruction processes , decomposition and active wood combustion, isolation from the direct influence of the flame and access to air, the intensity of combustion and heat conductivity of materials, and the reduction of the rate of heating of combustible and explosive products to critical temperatures and the subsequent progressive destruction of them when treated with swirling coating.
Main benefits of development
Under the influence of high - temperature flame magnesium coating, due to the formation of the expanded layer, effectively prevents the passage of high temperature, and the depth of the charring of wood is up to 1 mm (a similar fire - proof coating "Phenix - DB", which has advantageous specifications , showed wood charring under a layer of flame Magnesium to a depth of up to 4 mm). Development allows you to save money by expanding and reducing the cost of 2 times the raw material base of flame retardant coating.

8 patents of Ukraine were obtained
Wooden structures of objects of storage of weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be used for protection from fire . Also, these coatings can be used in the construction of industrial and civil engineering.
The state of development
Experimental samples were made, technological schemes of production were worked out, laboratory tests were performed.
