Dermal Fillers are used to add volume for a more natural appearance as well as reducing or eliminating wrinkles. Treatments can be done in 30-45 minutes with results lasting 6-8 months. Though similar, each dermal filler product has its ideal application. Knowing what works best, and where the product is needed, is often the key to creating the best possible results. Perlane® is used to add fullness and volume to your skin, for correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, particularly around the mouth, nose, and chin. Part of the Restylane® family of products, Perlane is formulated to replace the volume that your skin naturally loses over time. HA is a biocompatible substance, naturally occurring in skin. It is used to fill in, or plump up areas of the face to improve contours, and decrease wrinkles.
Restylane® was the first cosmetic dermal filler made of a crystal-clear gel called NASHA, or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the human body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the facial skin. NASHA is biodegradable and completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. Restylane is very similar to Perlane, but with finer granules and a smoother consistency. This makes it ideal for gentle contouring, and the correction of fine lines.
Juvéderm® is non-animal based injectable filler made in the laboratory. It is made of hyaluronic acid - a material that is in the joints and bodies of all living things. Hyaluronic acid is also the main ingredient of Restylane. It is a complex sugar that maintains its three dimensional shape in the body by attracting and holding large numbers of water molecules. Among its many natural functions, hyaluronic acid maintains the volume of the skin, keeps skin hydrated and maintains the shape of the eye. As we age, we lose hyaluronic acid from the skin and it loses its volume and structure. Juvéderm is ideal for moderate to severe wrinkles around the nose and mouth, providing a smooth and supple appearance.
Radiesse® volumizing Filler immediately provides volume and lift because of the calcium-based microspheres and gel that comprise the product. Radiesse is unique in that it acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow.
