Defense Systems

Defense Systems of Teledyne Brown Engineering provides high-level, technology-based support to programs of the U.S. Department of Defense and other Federal agencies, as well as to system prime contractors.

• From concept studies through operational testing, we have been involved in all phases of missile defense programs since their beginnings. Our technology capabilities include missiles, sensors, targets, and C4I.
• Our analytical expertise includes threat systems management, mission requirements generation, advanced concept development, survivability and lethality analysis, and hardware/software transition analysis.
• We pioneered in real-time, distributed, hardware-in-the-loop testing. In cooperation with the Joint National Integration Center, we offer outstanding capabilities for interoperability testing of globally distributed systems.
• Our software products, developed at SEI CMM Level 4, have excellent acceptance. Extended Air Defense Simulation is used worldwide for assessing the effectiveness of theater missile and air defense systems.
• Supporting the vision for transforming the U.S. Navy to meet the challenges that lie ahead, we have qualified to provide professional engineering and information technology services through SeaPort-e.
• We are a nationally qualified vendor for the FAA, covering operations, maintenance, engineering, and sustainment services.
