for optimal calf health. Automated calf feeders from GEA Farm Technologies can be programmed to suit your operation's requirements, whether it is for feeding or fattening. A choice of feeding profiles ensures that each calf is given exactly the right ration.
- Optimal health through continuous monitoring — a sudden change in feeding habits is a sign of illness. That is why GEA Farm Technologies feeding systems record feeding and drinking habits, store the data, and report any deviation immediately — for faster treatment and reduced veterinary costs.
- The automated calf feeding station is available in two configurations — as a milk powder only unit (J-V600+), or as a combination milk powder and fresh milk unit (J-V640+). Powdered calf milk replacer offers ease and consistent high quality nutrition for the calf. The combination powder and fresh milk unit goes further in allowing the use of powder only, fresh milk only or powder and fresh milk combined.
- Expandable feeding options — each automated feeding station can be connected to two feeding stalls and feed a total of 50-60 calves. The 5.5 kW model may incorporate an independent feeding control to add a third stall for feeding up to 80 calves. When high capacity feeding is required, the Quattro module can be used with four feeding stalls and feed a total of 120 calves.
- Stand-alone automatic calf feeders for flexible feeding on the spot — the stand-alone automatic calf feeders have their own computer which means that they are flexible and designed for individual use. You can manage changes immediately and program the automatic calf feeders accordingly. Adding the optional communication gateway and DairyPlan CalfFeeder module to the DairyPlan C21 herd management software allows the user to have all the information of the stand alone unit conveniently available on their herd management computer.
And, with DairyPlan integration on your youngstock, you will have a complete lifetime history on your cows, as they become part of the milking herd. That's true herd management — available only from GEA Farm Technologies.
