Description
Cincinnati Steel Products Co. recommends cold rolled steel for highly engineered end-use products where tight control of thickness, shape, width and surface finish are required.
Cold reducing coils of hot-rolled pickled steel, then annealing (heat treating to high temperatures) make the sheet thinner and leads to a refinement of the steel and gives the steel very desirable and unique forming properties. Attributes include high formability, deep drawability, high strength, high dent resistance, good magnetic properties, enamelability, and paintability.
• Typical Thicknesses: Gauges 10 - 24 ga.
• Common Widths: 48" & 60" Some 36" & 72"
• Typical Applications Include: Large and small household appliances, automobile parts, electric motors and signs.
