Cel-Span® 625 is a UL-certified material for the United States and Canada. This material is a V0 halogen-free modified co-polymer polypropylene compound, tailored for injection molding and extrusion applications.

Applications

This unique product is recommended for electrical sockets, timers, and light fixtures, plus electrical conduit, both smooth and corrugated.

Process Conditions

The proprietary flame additive in Cel-Span® 625 works by intumescences chemistry, which is initiated by heat. This chemical reaction forms a char barrier and thus excludes oxygen from the fuel and temperature sources. We recommend that the barrel zone temperatures be set at 360° - 380°F for optimum processing of electrical conduit both smooth and corrugated types.

Toxicity & Safety

No adverse health effects from the use of Cel-Span® 625 are known. All additives in this formulation are located in the Code of Federal Regulations and have GRAS status. This material is also UL-certified under U.S. code QMFZ2.E308490, and Canadian code QMFZ8.E308490.

Packaging & Storage

Cel-Span® 625 is packaged in 55 pound bags and 1,100 pound Gaylord boxes. We recommend that this product be kept closed in its original container or package in a dry location.
