Breaker testing

Breakers protect your normal and emergency equipment and must operate properly to prevent catastrophic failure due to a fault or overloads. Premature or nuisance tripping of these breakers can be just as devastating. Primary injection is the preferred method of testing as it reproduces the actual conditions. Primary injection testing passes current through the breaker. Secondary injection can be used for electronic breakers, although it only passes current through the trip circuit.
