Brass pipes

The Macomb Group stocks 1/2" to 2" S40 seamless brass pipe ASTM B-43 or 85%. Red brass is used for all plumbing, but works best for hot water lines. Brass pipe is made in the same sizes as steel pipe, from 1/8" to 6" in Sch 40, and from 1/8" to 4" for extra heavy pipe. Brass pipe is more expensive than galvanized, but will not rust, will remain smooth on the ID, and is easier to bend and thread.
