Description
Building over 5000 complete Zenoah and Zenoah type RC engines and marketing them through DDM since 2003, ESP quickly established a great reputation for powerful engines with wide power curves, top notch workmanship, and personal, helpful customer service. Doug (owner of ESP) will answer his phone 7 days a week, during normal business hours, to help any customer with questions. All engine work is done by Doug himself, who not only builds great engines, but also has decades of experience with CNC and Manual Machining, and earned several college degrees dedicated to making "detailed" and "defect free" product. This means you know you will get a very high quality, high level competitive engine, at a very competitive price. If you have a engine failure that is the fault of ESP (about a 1 in 1000 chance historically), ESP will replace the damaged parts for free. You don't have to worry about one engine running "great", and the next engine, --"well--not so great", --because ESP has top "quality control", with tight tolerances for the porting and head work. Each and every ESP engine is power house, the way they were designed.

Work done
1) CNC ported to exacting specs with new 2012 port specifications, (Race proven and dyno tested for heat racing and off shore racing applications), and hand finished to perfectly clean detail (like all ESP engines and top end kits). The same top quality, and performance that has won major Championships world wide, right off the DDM shelf.
2) Lowered compression (combustion chamber cut and reshaped) for the higher rpm marine racing application. If you use a 1mm crank in the 36mm bore cylinder with out this mod, your compression ratio will be about 17:1, and would need to run alcohol if it were a larger engine. Compression is reduced to a more "normal" compression ratio, that helps the engines higher RPM power.
3) Piston is relieved at the "crown area" to stop the chance of the piston crown area "scuffing" in the cylinder, do to the expansion of a hot piston crown, in a cold water cooled cylinder.
4) The engine uses the Zenoah 1mm stroked Marine crank. All parts in this engine are Zenoah. DDM is well known for keeping Zenoah and ESP parts on stock, as well or better than anybody in the world, at any point in time.
