Bayer Advanced Garden All-in-One Rose & Flower Cares exclusive formula feeds and protects against insects like aphids, borers, thrips and leafhoppers. It also quickly controls diseases like powdery mildew, black spot and rust. One application gives 6 weeks of protection against all major problems of roses, hibiscus, iris and other flowers and shrubs. No spraying needed, just mix and pour this formula around the base of each plant. One bottle covers up to 200 square feet of planted area. FOR OUTDOOR RESIDENTIAL USE ONLY
How To Use Tips
Many professional and self-styled garden experts recommend cutting roses past 5 leaf junctions on each stem. That may be OK, but be sure that the remainder of the stem will support new rose growth without drooping. About pencil thickness is where you should prune them. To help prevent leaf and blossom scorch in hot climates, stop using systemic insecticide/fertilizer combinations during the summer for plants in west and south exposures. Insects are not very active during very hot months. Mulch plants to keep soil cool and increase moisture retention; in summer, fertilize at 1/2 the recommended rate no matter which brand of fertilizer you use.
