Description
This chair is the first of its kind: an elegant traditional chair that is stackable. The design of this chair was made possible by a revolutionary new joining technology that uses precisely spaced steel rods and space-age epoxies to create a seat joint that is stronger than the wood itself. The University of Chicago has chosen this distinctive Arts & Crafts design for their restoration of Bartlett Hall, a Neo-Gothic dining hall built at the turn of the century.
