The gastronomy alone is worth visiting the Algarve. Delicious grilled sardines are a must as is succulent lobster and other steamed shell fish. Followed by a typical Algarve dessert made of almonds and figs, all washed down with a scrumptious wine from Lagoa and/or delicious arbutus-berry brandy.
