BLUE SPRUCE (picea pungens)---outdoor,
also called COLORADO SPRUCE, COLORADO BLUE SPRUCE
It has a pointed crown, sloping branches, and drooping subbranches. The needles form thick, prickly light-green spirals. The cones hang from the tips of the branches, and they have thin scales that don't hinge open as they ripen with age.
