Description
This Cabernet Franc is the result of a good growing year along with premium fruit from two of our best vineyard sites - Montague Estates and Isidors Choice Vineyards.
Flavor and Aroma:
Our fullest bodied red. Deep forest fruits like raspberry and blackberry integrate with herbal spicy oak driven flavors that create great complexity.
Aging Potential:
With proper cellaring this wine will still be delicious in five plus years.
Thoughts for Food:
Enjoy this hearty red with rustic, full flavored fare such as grilled herb crusted lamb, beef, or pork loin.
Wine Makers Comments:
This can be such a difficult grape when the ripening is not adequate, that you forget how good it is in the better vintages. This wine has all of the characteristics of very good northern climate Cabernet Franc, with delicious bramble-berry fruit, a slightly herb-infused quality, and a toasted spiciness that just begs for hearty meals. Be sure to lay this one down as it will age well for 5-10 years. -Lee Lutes, Winery Manager/Winemaker
